This is a second running of a previous article.  I have included it again because of the importance cooperation holds in today’s real estate process.

 

Cooperation starts with your agent.  Be sure to find one that cooperates with other local agents so your house’s information can be accessed by buyers no matter who they call.  The following are the 2 most important reasons for using an agent who cooperates:

 

  1. Imagine 20 people who are interested in area homes similar to yours, but only 3 or 4 are given information for your home.  Cooperating agents can give your home maximum exposure to potential buyers.  More exposure can translate into a quicker sale for you!
  2. Cooperation can also mean a better price for you.  Typically, houses that sell quicker, sell for a higher price.  The longer a house sits on the market, the more chance there is the seller may be forced to reduce the price.  By having more agencies sharing in the information, you end up with a stronger market for selling your house sooner at a higher price.
